Welcomes to all things Madre!

I started this space in September 2014 as a blog, documenting my complex feelings entering motherhood while hitting my stride professionally working for the swoosh. Today, many years later, Making La Madre has evolved to be the home of my creative ventures:

Casa Madre broke ground in January 2021. A lifestyle and hospitality project our family has developed in the Mexican Riviera Nayarit. Welcoming our first guests in December of 2021.

Studio la Madre is my recently launched passion project focusing on helping clients thru interior styling and curation. Working on the ground in Mexico as well as with remote clients around the world.

Thousands Creative, a joint creative studio with my husband, film director Mike McGrath. We work with a nimble team developing strategic marketing & content plans focusing on iconic storytelling to resonate with today’s consumer.

I have since retired the blog and sporadically send newsletters via substack where I write about how my role as ‘madre’ intersects with career, culture, travel, relationships, identity & sometimes food + style.
