get the damn fotos
Today's post is about investing in photography.
Specifically for Portland area madres I want to introduce you to my friend Lauren and her new Motherhood Mini Sessions taking place May 26th & 27th in her home studio full of natural light and intimacy. Send her a message via instagram, mention me and the blog for a discount on your session.
I never have invested in photography- not even really for our wedding day, more on that in a future post. And I am here today to say that I really wish I had when Mario was a baby. I am really lucky that we had the chance to be shot for Pom Pom Social last year and really treasure those photos shot by Mikola. Since then I have been talking about doing a session at home with Mike and Mo and having Lauren come shoot it but I keep putting it off.
She just announced that she is doing Motherhood Mini sessions in May and I had to sign up. I won't have the pressure of having the house together or worrying about where to shoot or what to do or how to pose. Instead we get to come to her home studio and be ourselves with her direction.
Most recently I joined Lauren to art direct a bit as we shot my friend Tia for another Pom Pom Social feature. The photos are stunning, as is so much of the rest of her work. Visit her site HERE to see so much more.
Throughout this post is a collection of photos I am so happy exist. Lauren was the photographer at one of my best friends weddings two years ago when Mario served as ring bearer and we learned that sandals x new walker x sand was not a great combo to get down the aisle.
It was great to reconnect with Lauren at the wedding and of course start planning our future photo sessions. The photos of Mario and my mom are a real treasure.
Looking forward to seeing what we can capture in May. And don't forget to reach out to book your session and mention me and the blog for a discount!
xx Ly
