summer 18
I took all of last week off for the July 4th Holiday. Momo was off from camp so it was a perfect excuse to take the week off and unplug from work.
By Thursday morning I was exhausted from non stop Momo care- plus hosting the fourth- which was actually not exhausting at all. And living in a bit of chaos. Over the past couple of weeks we have moved into a new house, just a block and a half from our old house. Probably (hopefully) our 'forever home'. If you have been following along for the past few years you will have seen my previous #housegoals posts. After much 'hemming and hawing' (can't believe I found a way to use that!) over the past two years, with all the information we needed from designers and architects we quickly made the decision to make an offer on a house with tons of updates, a charming exterior and super special yard. Ultimately this was a lot less work and a lot of what we wanted. So over the past couple weeks we have happily been settling in, doing odd jobs like painting the new house and purging from the old house.
We are sleeping on mattresses in an extremely minimalistic set up at the new house. It kind of feels like we are at a really empty airbnb. It is way fun.
Here is a dump of photos from the week, mostly the good times, sprinkling in a few anecdotes about my ups and downs with Momo. So much dang complaining from my dude lately (eyeroll emoji).
Thanks for reading! xx
