Seven things I Just Added to Cart
The @whowhatwear IG posts really get me.
Like ‘get me’ as in they present a way of dressing and styling that speaks to me but they also ‘get me’ as in I click thru and peruse the site and add to cart. Its always a toss up whether I go thru with the purchase but the virtual shopping aspect is sometimes enough of a distraction or activity that the fun can just simply end there. It is a really cruel game I play with stores that do not ship down to Mexico.
The closest clothes stores to us are a little over an hour away and the nicest shop is a Birkenstock store and an H&M. And while I get shopbop notifications daily my access via international shipping is non existent. I have not received a single piece of mail since we arrived. This makes me realize I somewhat fell into the capsule wardrobe trend or lifestyle inadvertently.
As you might be able to imagine packing clothes for six+ months in a new home & climate was a tough exercise. We did not bring a ton and left most things at home in storage (fingers crossed the moths have not gone to town). Fortunately weather here has been consistently beautiful so my packing list was really just skirts, dresses, t shirt, sandals, swimsuits. Done.
But back to the headline, in the last 30 minutes I was sucked into a @whowhatwearxtarget shopping vortex and even added a few things from the newly launched, and amazing, Target collaboration The Nines by Hatch collection. If you don’t know about Hatch, all you need to know is that it is not just for pregnant people. The styles have served me well beyond pregnancy and are tailored, classic silhouettes that stand the test of time.
OK! Onto the seven things I just added to cart. Things that will serve me well for Summer in Portland, see you in June! And year round sunshine down here too. I am gonna pull the trigger and have these waiting for me back in Portland when I return in June.
When I saw this originally posted it looked like a dress I already have. But it is actually separates. The top is sold out but the skirt can serve me well I think. Who What Wear Floral Print Wrap Maxi Skirt
I recently bought a pack of 3 boxer shorts cause I am needing shorts right now. My friend Sam wore boxer shorts last summer during her pregnancy and I thought, damn that is SMART! Comfort, elastic waist and price point all wins for me. These are a slight upgrade. Real pants, not unders, and I love the classic pattern. Who What Wear Floral Print High-Rise Shorts
Dresses are my go to during summer and warm weather. I love not thinking about a full outfit and the simplicity of just throwing on a dress. Excited to see how this one looks on and if it works for me. Who What Wear Leopard Print Puff Sleeve Dress
Another dress, I am a sucker for the checkerboard and gingham patterns and I love to see them in a bright color. I can see this getting a lot of wear. I will likely roll up sleeves for warm weather comfort. Can’t wait to try you on. Who What Wear Women’s Gingham Check Dress
See above #4 :) Who What Wear Gingham Peplum Top
I cannot say no to a classic stripe especially when I feel like I am always on the hunt for a good one. I had the striped bateau dress from the Hatch Collection when I was pregnant with Momo and only until recently gave it away, after MANY MANY wears. Hoping this can serve me for years to come too. The Nines by Hatch Striped 3/4 Sleeve
Overalls are tricky so let’s see how these turn out. But maternity overalls feel like the right move. They are going to naturally be roomy and soft just cause they are maternity and what more do you want or need in an overall? The Nines by Hatch Cotton Overalls
So, did I convince you to buy some maternity clothes even though you aren’t or don’t plan to be pregnant? It is so good right!? Check out the jumpsuit that I actually bought in March and my mom brought down to me when she came to visit. It is already such a winner. Do you already have a favorite Who What Wear item in rotation? Would love to hear about it.
